Uplift at the ‘Lazufre’ area, situated to the north of Cordon del Azufre and south of Lastarria volcano, was first detected in ERS interferograms from 1998 (Pritchard & Simons, 2002; Henderson & Pritchard, 2013). The rate of uplift accelerated between 1998 and 2005 up to a maximum rate of 3.5 cm / year and continued at this constant rate between 2005 and 2011 (Henderson and Pritchard, 2013). |
